Attakus Jedi Luke Statue

I’ve posted a fair amount about Attakus statues because they made such a nice Jabba’s palace lineup. Even though they’re a little out of date at this point, they still have the largest Jabba statue ever, and the only large-scale Bib Fortuna and Oola statues ever made (I would’ve said the same about the Gamorrean Guard, but Sideshow did recently release a Gamorrean in their Mythos line that’s the same scale).

But while I like Attakus overall and they definitely have a nice, high-end feel, their human likenesses leave a lot to be desired. I think it’s more that they decided to go with a more stylized look, rather than that they tried to replicate the actors’ likenesses and failed, but in any case many people don’t care for their human statues. This, combined with the fact that Jedi Luke seems to be going for slightly higher prices than many, made me put off of getting this statue for a long time.

I did eventually find a good deal on one with a broken lightsaber, though, so I bit the bullet and got it. I ended up having to drill holes both sides of the broken saber to insert a metal rod for reinforcement, since glue alone wouldn’t hold (the saber is relatively heavy). It looks pretty good now.

The face isn’t fantastic, but at a normal viewing distance it’s not bad at all — better than most, actually. Here it is with the rest of my Jabba-related Attakus statues (the Gamorrean GuardHan in Carbonite, Boba Fett, R2-D2C-3poBib Fortuna, and Oola. (JabbaSlave Leia, and Salacious Crumb with Hooka Pipe won’t fit here, so I have them displayed elsewhere.)

I think I now have every statue that could potentially fit in a Jabba’s palace display (which is good, since I have no more room here). I suppose you could include the jawa statue, but I don’t like the fact that it’s holding a blaster.
