News: Walmart-Exclusive Jabba’s Throne Set Now Available Online

September 2, 2010

Walmart.com has finally listed the hard-to-find Jabba’s Throne set, and it’s even available at the original price of $34.97, rather then the adjusted price that most stores have been using ($38.88). Now’s the time to get one of these if you haven’t been able to find it.

Jabba’s Throne on Walmart.com

EDIT: If you can believe it, it’s now sold out online. It lasted for less than half a day. I guess the old slug still has some fans (either that or people were buying them to scalp on eBay).

ARGH! This is almost as bad as mattycollector.com, except WORSE because this is JABBA. SO FRUSTRATING! I’m so mad I didn’t read this during the narrow window of hours before it was sold out.

Guess what? Two appeared in my local store, so I snatched one up today. I was just at Walmart 2 days ago scouring for this, which I didn’t even know existed until the day before, when I read about it here on your blog.

You really sold me on it describing all the nice features, and bringing up how some of us might not be enticed; pleased with our current Jabbas. You were totally right! This is hands down the best Jabba ever. I *was* very pleased with Jabba Glob (and still am, for what it is) but this is an amazing piece. They really went out of their way to nail it 100%, and just about pulled it off. My one and only complaint would have to be that you can’t open the frog jar, but that’s really a minor quibble. I am extremely impressed, and glad I was able to track it down.

Thanks SO MUCH for bringing this to my attention, barely on time to get one of my own.

Great! I’m glad you were able find one. You can certainly nitpick parts of it, but it’s definitely the best Jabba figure we’ve ever gotten, or are likely to get.

Hello there, thanks for all the good Jabba-related info. Could you tell the exact measures of the Jabba’s “stone” dais part? (The new 2010 version). I’m planning a Jabba diorama and it should fit perfectly whenever I can finally get the thing…

    Hi. It’s about 10″ x 6″ x 1.5″ in size.

Hi there and thanks for the throne measures! Hope to be able to start the Jabba diorama one day soon. (and hope to find the new 2010 Jabba, it really looks great. A must-have for a diorama, although I’ve been quite satisfied with my “glob” Jabba so far).

Meanwhile, just finished the Jabba’s “barbeque” miniature, and I’m quite satisfied with it. If you want to take a look, here’s a link: http://www.huitula.com/Jabba_throne_miniature.htm
It would be great to hear a “Jabba professional’s” opinion..
      Well, sayonara for now!

Looks pretty cool! The barbecue hasn’t been represented in very many toys or collectibles. Off the top of my head, the only one I can think of is the AMT/ERTL model kit.
